What I've Seen in Twenty-Thirteen (so far)

3 weeks into 2013 and I can already say I am having a good year!
But we are barely in the year...how can you already say it's good?
Well for starters, I am noticing since I started keeping a “blessings jar”. (Be on the lookout for a separate post about that in the near future!)

Totally spiced up that mason jar myself :)

My mentality is beginning to view things in a more positive light! Sure everyday is filled with it's frustrations, but the more attention I pay to the little good things that have happened during the day, the less the negative moments effect my mood.

Positive outlook = smiling more = reason to buy red lipstick

Another reason I’m loving 2013 so far is because I have really been enjoying these past 3 weeks since I have been in school!

Typical day at good ole Sarge

Shortly after I posted “Just a Little “Lo”Down”I decided to talk to some advisers to see if there was anything I could do that might help me in school. Their suggestion was to go and get some testing done to find out if maybe I have a learning disability. At that point I really had nothing to lose so I did, and by then end of December I found that in fact I do have some learning disabilities. I have a mathematics disorder, ADHD, Anxiety disorder, and also found that I have some reading problems as well. As frustrating as all that may sound, I am so relieved to know that there was something wrong with me. How else are you supposed to fix a problem unless you know what it is right?!? Needless to say, school so far as not been nearly as stressful as it has been in the past.

Doing a little studying for my Developmental Psych. class...which I love!
So yeah, so far 2013 is going really well, and I’m hardcore praying this positive track I am on continues because I am loving this improved personality of mine that I am beginning to see.
Hope everyone’s year is also off to a great start! Happy New Year Everyone!

My Year in Review (2012 edition)

You know how majority of the blogs that exists typically post about "a year in review" each year... That doesn't necessarily mean I have to...

But this is about my 2012 year in review lol

"Where did the year go?!?" is such a popular New Year's Eve phrase, but that is not one I will be saying.  I'm surprise it is finally ending...the year not the world...Ok so that sounds pessimistic...uh...ehh...my year wasn't 100% awful, though it was filled majority wise will loads of unpleasant experiences: destructive family members, Granny's death, school struggle, financial struggle, frustrations with peers losing my cat, and having to deal with the police on more than one occasion...
