A Weekend Full of Fair[ly] Good Moments

A couple of weeks ago I sent out requests on facebook and twitter asking if there was anyone out there interested in taking me to the Virginia state fair since I had never been before.Thankfully  my request was answered and I was blessed with being taken not once, but TWICE when the fair finally rolled around! First by my dad and then also by my friends Zach and Julie!

I cannot even begin to express how happy I was to get to go twice!  There was so much to see, so  doing it all in one night would basically be kind of impossible, not to mention also trying to document it with a camera. (still trying to figure out how to use this crazy thing)   I had a blast seeing cute animals, looking at impressive prize winning plants, eating heavenly super bad for you foods, riding a roller coaster,  driving around in a bumper car, and hanging out with family and friends!

 First site of the fair

I got to see some cute bunnies.
This guy had no problem standing still for me :P
Aw, look at the baby chick!
This bird scared me a little, I made sure to keep some distance...
 OOh it's an alpaca!
Can't look at a pig without first thinking of calling them "Babe".
My friends Zach and Julie who I went with for the second time at the fair.
Shh the kids are sleeping!
Bear cubs just wrestling with each other
After I saw the bears, I ran into tigers!

Prize winning potato diorama...yup it's a real thing!
This Pumpkin won First Prize for being the biggest.
I can see why, dang that's big!
I had no clue hay could have a contest of it's own...
This is my dad looking at a tractor that is similar to his.
Anxiously awaiting on the arrival of dinner!
That was such a great bloomin onion!

I have no clue what was in that sauce, but it was good!
I tried to eat a whole jumbo turkey leg, but lost that challenge.
I did however manage to find some room in me afterwards to try a fried Ho-Ho...uh sooo good!

The lines were too long for the Farris wheel so I didn't get to ride it, but took several shots of it!
I did get to ride this roller coaster "Crazy Mouse", it totally stood up to it's name!
Me and the little sister preparing to take off!
.
Made some attempts at taking motion pics without much sunlight.
One of my favorite Ferris wheel pics!
I kind of like how the only thing you see are the little light outlines of the rides and kiosks.
Getting ready to go on the bumper cars!
That would be me in the pink car slamming into my little sister. Mwahaha!
I think my dad did a pretty good job capturing the amount of fun I was having :)
It is insane how much of a difference a 200mm lens makes!

She had to have been more than 100ft off the ground doing this!

I really hope the fair comes back next year, and if so...I am totally heading to catch a ride on the Ferris wheel first!
